review to come Brynn can t seem to get her life together After being scammed by her boyfriend and losing her job, she comes back home to Wildstone in defeat.
Meanwhile, Kinsey is dealing with kidney failure and has thrown up a tough outer shell to protect herself and those she loves When they were kids, she and Brynn did summer camp togetherand loathes each other But when Brynn comes back to town, Kinsey has to figure out just how to tell her that not only is she her long ago nemesis, but they re also related While each of these two main characters certainly had their own issues, I enjoyed reading their story and flew through this book I ve enjoyed all the Wildstone books and this one was no exception Though I do have to say that there were a few issues here The author didn t really research the whole kidney thing well I don t claim to know a whole lot, but a male can t donate a kidney to a female and vice versa in a direct match There were also issues with the timeline for the last journal entry Kinsey previously said she met her dad when she was 15 when she got the kidney The last diary entry said she was 17 Also, I could NOT get why Kinsey wouldn t just tell Brynn the 3rd thing, especially once they were on their way.
There isn t a negative thing I have to say about this book, I have to be honest at first I was going to but then I got deeper in it and I changed my mind What can you want from this book You have family love, romance , friendenemies and a sibling rivalry The ending was better than I thought it would be I have always been a fan of the books that Jill Shalvis has written She grabs my attention by making the characters seem real If I had the chance to ask her a question , it would be where does she get the story lines and the characters name.
After several tries of being approved for requests, I finally got to read this one from Harper Collins I hope they continue to let me read books in exchange for an honest review I am also grateful for netgalley and the tips they give for reviews and ratios.

After being scammed by her boyfriend and losing her job, she comes back home to Wildstone But Brynn can t get her life together.
Kinsey is dealing with kidney failure after battling serious health issues her whole life To protect herself and those she loves she has become distant from most people and isn t as easy going as she once was When they were kids, Kinsey and Brynn went to summer camp together, they loathes each other When Brynn comes back to town, Kinsey has to figure out just how to tell her that not only is she her long ago frenemie, but they re also half sisters On top of that Brynn runs into Kinsey s lifelong best friend, who happens to be her crush It wasn t really my cup of tea, but it was good.
The Summer Deal is a book about familythose created by blood and those created by choice The characters and situations created by Ms.
Shalvis draw the reader into the story completely and don t let go even after the last word is read The author does a wonderful job revealing her characters secrets and feelings as she slowly peels away their layers to reveal fears, hopes, longings, hurts, tragedies, and loves of the two men, two women and one friend with benefits without the friendship angle who share a house I loved every minute spent reading the book and found it hard to put down I voluntarily reviewed an advance copy of this book from NetGalley Most highly recommend.
This book was received as an ARC from HarperCollins Publishers William Morrow Paperbacks in exchange for an honest review Opinions and thoughts expressed in this review are completely my own.
I absolutely loved this book I did not want to stop reading it and every page was a surprise I loved the relationship between Brynn and Kinsey reconnecting and then frenemies turned life long sisters Brynn realizes that there is to life than what she knew from the past She reconnects also with Eli and then childhood crush becomes new love but, Brynn is still resenting all of this just from a past experience involving Brynn and Eli Once Brynn lets god of the past, she can have it all and still be happy I love Jill Shalvis books because the theme is an important life lesson that all can relate to and can reflect on and this time it s letting go of the past I know her books have done very well at our library and I know this one will be no different.
We will consider adding this title to our Adult Fiction collection at our library That is why we give this book 5 stars.
